*REVIEW* Don't You Wish

Synopsis:

When plain and unpopular Annie Nutter gets zapped by one of her dad's whacked-out inventions, she lands in a parallel universe where her life becomes picture-perfect. Now she's Ayla Monroe, daughter of the same mother but a different father—and she's the gorgeous, rich queen bee of her high school.

In this universe, Ayla lives in glitzy Miami instead of dreary Pittsburgh and has beaucoup bucks, courtesy of her billionaire—if usually absent—father. Her friends hit the clubs, party backstage at concerts, and take risks that are exhilirating . . . and illegal. Here she's got a date to lose her V-card with the hottest guy she's ever seen.

But on the inside, Ayla is still Annie.

So when she's offered the chance to leave the dream life and head home to Pittsburgh, will she take it?

The choice isn't as simple as you think.

Don't You Wish is Roxanne St. Claire's debut young adult novel and it does not disappoint! Don't You Wish is a cute, fun, and romantic ride that will keep you entertained until the very end.

Annie Nutter is a nobody... invisible to the popular kids at her school, unless they're mocking her. She's got a crazy inventor dad, and a mom who is struggling with some major what ifs. She's also got an annoying little brother who burps more than anyone alive it seems. Typical teenage life? Sure seems so! A shining spot in Annie's life, other than her braces, is her relationship with her best friend, Lizzie. But Annie still can't help but wonder... what would life be like if she was perfect and led a flawless life?

An invention of her dad's shows Annie what that possible life could look like, at least physically. And Annie likes what she sees in that mirror! After a freak incident in a storm, Annie wakes up and suddenly... she is that perfect face. She has woken up as Ayla Monroe, completely gorgeous and rich, and the most popular girl in school. Everything should be perfect, right? But Annie has remained Annie and although she is living Ayla's life, discontentment quickly brews as she realizes that perfect lives on the outside are rarely as perfect as they seem.

As Annie navigates the waters of her new life, will she remain true to who she is or will she give in to the pressures of popularity? And will befriending an unlikely student lead Annie to total social destruction or will she find everything she's always wanted? Which life will Annie ultimately choose? You've got to read it to find that out!

I highly recommend this book. It was an easy read and it was super fun. It's impossible to read this book and not like and root for Annie. What a fabulous character she is! I ended up truly FEELING her indecision because she's faced with a tough choice. I'm extremely happy with the conclusion of this book and think everyone should go out and snag this one up when it releases on July 10, 2012. You won't be sorry! Happy Reading! *XOXO*
